Cambria Connected
A multi-service communication network will provide voice, video and
high-speed data communications to all participating public safety agencies.
The network will provide businesses, education and all levels of government
with these services. The network has the potential to provide large
cost savings for all parties involved regardless of their communication
needs. In most cases it will bring technologically-advanced communication
capabilities to all of Cambria County, even in areas that have been
unable to receive services.

Connected will provide exciting opportunities for existing and
new businesses, education, medical services and most importantly the
residents of Cambria County.
The County has been working to fulfill an FCC mandate that requires
the changing and replacement of the communication infrastructure for
all public safety organizations within the County. While complying with
the mandate, it inspired a vision not only to improve public safety
communications but also to increase economic development opportunities
for the County. Taking an “out of the box” approach, the Commissioners
developed their vision into an action plan. This plan addresses the
FCC mandate, economic development and gives the County an opportunity
to strengthen the partnership between the government, business, and
the people.
