The Cambria Connected Network is the only
operational rural wireless broadband internet
service in Pennsylvania. The graphic below helps to
explain the complexity of the system. This network
is owned by the citizens of Cambria County, while not
perfect it is an example of the people and
government working together to benefit everyone.
There are several local benefits of the Cambria
Connected Network. First, obtaining services from
Cambria Connected keeps money in Cambria County. The
Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) are locally owned
and operated, so in addition to creating jobs,
customers receive personal service from local
businesses. The system is feature rich, comparable
in price to other service providers, and is a
continuously being expanded, upgraded, and
supported. Also, a portion of the monthly service
fee goes to the County to help maintain the Cambria
Connected Network.
